PrEP School Program

PrEP School addresses the social and financial barriers to accessing PrEP, a biological prevention strategy for people who are HIV negative. The program assists with barriers to medical care, medication, transportation, mental health, substance use, and any other identified needs.

PrEP School also assists with accessing PEP on a case by case basis (72 hour window).

PrEP means Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, and uses anti-HIV medications to keep HIV negative people from becoming infected. PrEP is approved by the FDA and has been shown to be safe and effective at preventing HIV infection.

PEP means Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, also known as post-exposure prevention, is a preventive medical treatment started after exposure to a pathogen in order to prevent the infection from occurring.
