Volunteer Orientation & Training
RAIN hosts an orientation the second Thursday of every other month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Check out our calendar for the next orientation and get involved!
During orientation you will learn more about RAIN, including the various programs we provide to our clients and the community, HIV 101, and how you can become more actively involved. Volunteers are needed for:
Client support volunteers work directly with our clients, and their families, offering holistic support in a variety of ways such as phone calls, transportation, and friendship.
Office support volunteers work in the RAIN office helping with the front desk to filing to special office projects.
Event support volunteers assist with RAIN's key fundraising events: AIDS WALK Charlotte, The Voices Project, Amazing Race Bar Crawl, and the Sweet Tooth Festival. Event support volunteers can also assist with different community events throughout the year.
Leadership committee volunteers work with the Philanthropy and Marketing Department in creating, managing and producing RAIN's signature fundraising events: AIDS WALK Charlotte, The Voices Project, Amazing Race Bar Crawl and the Sweet Tooth Festival.
