Empowering Positive Youth

Empowering Positive Youth (known as EPY) provides a comprehensive and holistic approach to serving the HIV positive adolescent population of the Charlotte metro area and it's surrounding communities.

By providing service coordination, education and outreach, and leadership training, the mission is to enhance the positive quality of individual and community life by providing services that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of HIV positive youth. This also empowers an underserved and underrepresented population to be mentally and physically ready for the fight against HIV/AIDS. 

This program is broken down in five components. Each part functions in conjunction with the others to form a collaborative comprehensive program providing optimal medical outcomes - Medical Case Management, Youth Support Groups, Youth Speakers Bureau, Social Marketing, and National Trainings and Conferences.
